Weekly, fortnightly or monthly cleaning?
Weekly
Keeps on top of a busy family home, pets and muddy school shoes.
Fortnightly
Suits most couples and smaller homes.
Monthly
Works if you tidy as you go and want the kitchen, the bathrooms and the floors done properly.
If your home has not had a full clean for a while, the first visit takes longer. We tell you that when we quote.
How regular house cleaning works
Send us a WhatsApp, call us or fill in the quote form. Tell us how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have and how often you want a cleaner. We reply with a clear price.
Before the first clean we ask what matters most to you. That covers the rooms that need the most time, anything fragile and anything we should leave alone. Then we clean on the day you chose. You can change the plan at any time.
- The size of your home
- How often we come
- How long each visit takes
- Any extras you add
- Whose products we use

Not answered here? Send Mel a message on WhatsApp.
Who will clean my home?
A member of Mel's team. Maid by Mel is a small local team led by Mel Griffiths. We are not an agency. You deal with Mel, and she knows who is in your home.
Do I need to be in?
No. Many customers are at work when we clean. You can let us in, use a key safe or give us a key. Tell us what suits you.
Do you bring products and equipment?
We can bring our own products and equipment, or use yours if you prefer. Tell us when you ask for a quote, because it changes the price a little.
How do I skip or cancel a clean?
Send Mel a message on WhatsApp or call us. Please give as much notice as you can, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
How much does a house cleaner cost in Taunton?
It depends on the size of your home, how often we come and how long each visit takes. We don't publish a price list, because no two homes are the same. Tell us about your home and we give you a clear price before you book.
Do you do ironing, ovens and inside windows?
Yes, as extras. Ask when you get your quote and we add the time to your visit.
Which areas do you cover?
Taunton, Wellington, Chard, Bishops Lydeard, Cotford St Luke, North Curry, Kingston St Mary, Trull, Blagdon Hill, the Quantocks and the villages near them. Not sure if we reach you? Send us your postcode.
